Sophia Pym

I’m equal parts movement and exercise educator and a mum. I specialise in helping women find strength, joy and empowerment through womanhood.

I pick the best strategies from Pilates, yoga and functional training to create the most efficient use of your time.

My journey includes years of TTC, IVF rounds, two births (one medicated, one at home), two children, breastfeeding challenges and successes, prolapse and a thyroid condition. I wanted to create movement classes that are both FUN (because no one wants to go workout if it feels like a chore) and PROGRESSIVE. If you are going through something in your life you can still move your body and get stronger.

Women’s specific classes make sure that we can figure out options for everyone, no matter what you are working through (permanent or transient). My mission is to empower women with knowledge and movement - our bodies are incredible and capable and sometimes it takes us a reminder that we CAN move!

Life continues after birth though some changes are permanent. I believe that reconnecting with our body and our inner strength can be done without fear and with fun and laughter.

Helen:

Sophia worked with me prior, during and after my pregnancy with my third child. She is a truly wonderful teacher, who made an enormous difference to my health and well-being. Sophia brings a rare combination of expertise in her practice with a real world understanding of women’s bodies – our needs and capabilities. I loved her approach, which was nurturing but also appropriately stretching (both literally and figuratively). Best of all, she is a terrific person to spend time with.

Camilla:
Sophia is extremely knowledgeable about the postpartum body and her style of teaching was gentle, fun and motivating. It felt great to have such an understanding teacher who could educate me about my body and give me exercises to help me feel stronger again. Thank you, Sophia, for being part of my postpartum journey.
