Pregnancy Pilates !

What exactly is pregnancy Pilates? Just like regular Pilates, it strengthens and stretches your body and with specific core work (yes, we still have one even when pregnant) it helps your body cope with carrying the extra weight of your growing baby, as well as preparing you for childbirth and recovery afterwards. We will also focus on pelvic floor engagement and relaxation which is important for labour and recovery after birth.

“Hugging the baby” is a way to engage your core muscles that really, really helped me get baby Oliver out in about five pushes. I’ll be sharing this as much as I possibly can!

You can join a pregnancy Pilates class at any stage of your pregnancy though you may feel comfortable staying in your normal exercise routine in the first trimester.
